USC Trojan League of Los Angeles, the first of the Trojan Leagues, is an alumnae group founded on March 25, 1958. Its purpose is to foster continuing interest in the University of Southern California on the part of Trojan alumni and their families by bringing into prominence the University history, traditions, and accomplishments, and to advance the interests of the University.
Membership is composed of alumnae of the University of Southern California who have completed at least two consecutive yearas of full time study at the University of Southern California, been out of the University a minimum of eight years and have distinguished themselves for leadership ability in civic, educational, and philanthropic community activities and organizations. The League conducts, underwrites, and mentors various USC recruitment programs to educate and interest high school students in the University and to encourage those qualified to apply for admission. These programs include: Neighborhood Receptions for Admitted Students, Scholarship Recognition events, USC Day of SCervice, Support for the USC Alumni Association events and the USC Trojan League of Los Angeles Joseph Patrick Allan Endowed Scholarship in the Dornsife College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences. The League has contributed over $1,000,000 for scholarships, capital improvements and student recruitment programs.
Each year, the League sponsors a Benefit showcasing a department, school, program, or an individual of renown at the University. The funds raised by this event help to underwrite our programs.
The League takes an active part in the Alumnae Coordinating Council. The League also supports the USC Women's Conference and its members support the USC Alumni Association Signature Events, including the Volunteer Leadership Conference, the Volunteer Recognition Dinner, the Alumni Awards Gala and others.
